You should use Twitter because it's sweet. It's a real lightweight way to post either what you're up to, or a random thought, or anything else. Easy to consume, and easy to produce. And that little slice of your head, what you're thinking about, is a pretty cool way to keep in touch with people.

It's not going to take the place of writing blogs - you can only fit so much into 140 characters, it's a totally different thing. But it's a heck of a lot easier.

And it's pretty sweet because it's a like a live chat room on any topic in the world. I enjoy watching Lost while following the #lost Twitter posts; you can really see what people think about a TV show (or sporting event) while it's going on, in nearly real time.

It's like you took just the "status" field out of Facebook, and made it its own application. No bitten by vampires, no 25 random things about you, just status. Simple. Easy. Good. Do it.

I can't join twitter. Seriously, I have nothing that interesting to say and I don't know anyone who has anything so interesting to say that I would want to read what they are doing every second of the day.
