Scary Face

So this Halloween morning I went to my fridge and was scared out of my boxers. I forgot to buy MILK, and therefore had no milk to put in the cereal I had already poured into a bowl.

Now what, I say, now what?

Not fit for sheering.

Friday night was a good time. Met up with Shely and went to a Halloween party. It was a group of Melly’s friends and it was fun. I wish we hung with that group more often and maybe we will, maybe.

I worked Saturday, tournament, and it was really slow but fun. Got to hang out with Ryan and talked with a girl I hadn’t seen in a couple years. If I knew how to close I might of gotten a date with her.

Saturday evening The Oak house and others came over to play some Mario Party. It was a good time, calm but that was a decent change from the past few Saturdays. Looking forward to this weekend, however. Received a call from my r****** sister. HA! HA! HA!

Worked Sunday, easy again. Watched the Lions win. Went out to The Oak for Spaghetti Sunday and wrestling ppv. Listened to MD put together the best verbal assault on a customer service worker ever. It was radical. Then when the wrestling on tv was done, the action in the trunk of The Oak was just beginning. Video will explain the rest. Wings win as well.

Overall it was a great weekend. My toe hurts but is healing and I am so so so so so dumb for waiting so long to get it taken care of. I have a busy week ahead of me but I think I’d rather have that than nothing to do. Weird.

Chicken Soup

I went to the ER today and had them take care of my ingrown toenail. They numbed my toe and then proceeded to take off the entire nail. So I'm down to only nine toe nails. The other one should grow back in a while. I'll put up a picture once I take the bandages off.

Dark Blue October

The following events ARE in the past. By bringing them up I am not trying to open old wounds, so please DO NOT take offense to anything. I am also not saying I did not do anything wrong during these events.

This is a therapeutic writing/blog entry. A way for me to dump some of the trash rolling around in my head during this month of (adj.). I can’t find the right adjective without over/understating what I want to say.

Also, not all of these events are on the same traumatic level, but not happy things for sure.

October 2000 – I see my Uncle Ed for the last time. I was picking Greg up to go see a football game at Western Michigan with Beth, I saw him sitting in his underwear at 6 in the morning on the same counter top I’d seen him sit on for years.

Late that evening we were called and asked to come home because something was wrong. Arriving at Greg’s again we were told my Uncle Ed had died of a heart attack in the late afternoon.

October 2001 – I can’t remember anything tragic here, but would like to note that when I stated I hated this month to Whitney, she pointed out to me that I asked her out on Sweetest Day of this year. So not only bad events have taken place in October.

October 2002 – I currently cannot remember what took place during this month that was tragic, but I’m pretty sure there was something.

October 2003 – I was lied too my face by my two closest friends about something that should have been easy enough to tell the truth about. This was a real wake up call in my second year of college.

October 2004 – Lots of yelling for the entire month. Then drama, more yelling and drama. It came to an end when Marissa and I moved out of the house in Auburn. But that started some of hardest interactions I’ve to deal with as an adult (20) which led to a split in friendships.

Also, another tragic death in the family.

October 2005 – No one specific thing tragic event took place in this month that I could recall, however there was some inner turmoil.

October 2006 – This was a pretty fun time with the Tigers being in the playoffs, however, Daisey, the shit-zu I grew up with passed away. Only a few weeks after that the other shit-zu, Dusti passed away.

October 2007 – change. I get a phone call from my dad this morning and he tells me that Daffney has died. No one called this week to tell me she had been sick. I’ve been pretty busy this week but I should/would of found time. I was closer to her than the other canines, she was my friend and Dad has said many times, she didn’t have many.

So now that you’ve read this, if you find yourself asking questions about these past events please go back and read the disclaimer.

Other greatly unhappy events have and will happen outside the Month of October. And great things have joyful significance this month as well – Dad’s Birthday, Parents Wedding Anniversary.

The thing is, I just get this overwhelming feeling that something unforgettable is going to happen during this month as opposed to any of the other 11.

Only 12 days left.

I love TV!

This week is premier week, for most shows anyway. Lost doesn't start until Jan. Here are a few things I watched so far. All NBC.

Chuck
Stars Kip from Less Than Perfect. This was a really funny show. He saw a bunch of crazy subliminal messages about government secrets and now a hot blond girl is going to protect him.
Looking forward to the banter between he and his best buddy. Plus his sister is hot.

Heroes
I'm re-watching last season and watching the new season. The first episode was good but more will be better. I think my favorite story line is Peter and Nathan because I like the brother being there for his brother. And Peter is sweet with his Rogue capabilities.

Bionic Women
The scene with the evil OG Bionic Women was sweet. The whole Timeout thing was dramatic and well done. Looking forward to more scenes like that. And no offense because, I'm not the hottest human alive, but couldn't they of casted a little hotter Bionic Women, one who looks like she sleeps and didn't just leave sparing round De La Hoya? Just sayin.

.....I had one of the most emo days at work in maybe the entire time I've been there. Not getting into details here, that'd be unprofessional. Just kinda poopy.

Wicky Wicky Wild Wild

Friday morning started with Wake Up Midland which is where we debuted the video I put together last week. It was really early for this guy but it went super well. I think the business owners there liked it and I hope it brings some sponsorships to the Tennis Center.

Friday night was fun at MD's. PW was pretty messed up and hilarious. Spent the night on the floor because of his allergies he did. Good times.

Saturday afternoon was the surprise party for my parents 40th Wedding Anniversary. They were very surprised. The venue was great, lots of relatives were able to come. The slideshow was entertaining. I got to play dj. I cried a little. I'm pretty emotional when it comes to mom and dad. I'd like to thank my brother and sisters for doing such a great job on Saturday.

After the lunch-in I went to mass with the rents and B&B. I was really tired but glad I did and it's something I am going to do more often.

Went back to MD's Saturday night, received a fun phone call from T-Dawg in Meijer, and PW signed me up on Jellyfish.

Sunday morning woke up early again and went with the family to the Detroit Tiger game. (ps. resmer if you happen to read this sorry I didn't call, got wrapped up with the fam)

So now I'm finally home and happy to be. Watching the Lions game, currently at half time. Life is good, but I wish I had sloppy joes and mashed potatoes.

ps. can't wait for redwing training camp Saturday.

Today is a day like none other

So I'm going to start up this blog again, and I'm doing so for a few reasons.

- friends
- family
- jesus
- and now that I'm on the computer so much more for work, I have the time, hence the new title.

If somehow you have not heard I started doing video production work with the Tennis Center. In the past two weeks I've also done a project for the Community Center.

So far, except for the stress of wondering if they will like the work, I love it! For many months I didn't plan on doing much with my Delta experience, but an opportunity changed that.

I saw 11 slug bugs yesterday. TS

Jer rocks, thanks for scanning in those photos. You will be paid in BWW.

Looking forward to MD's Friday night. Should be fetch. Maybe this time he will aim his pong shots instead of just whipping them.

Peace

Last Night

It is interesting when the world you know is turned upside-down. This might happen with a phone explaining the death of loved one, news from the doctor that it IS cancer.

Tonight my world is on its ear but the cause isn’t as devastating or life changing. Sometime after 11 pm my power went out. But not just my APT or my building or even this complex. When I gaze towards my patio door it is a giant black hole. There isn’t a street light for miles. Occasionally the world I could view with ease due to safety lamps is lit up with a passing car. Once they pass by I’m back to nothing.

If someone said to me, “Let me show you what the world was like when dinosaurs roamed the earth.” I would have no idea they would just turn off every light and boom goes the dynamite. This is what they saw. This is what many saw before we ran voltage to almost every corner of the Earth.

It is amazing. It is glorious. It is a dark coffin out my patio door and I’m the beaming with rays of enlightenment.

I need to poop, beth this post is mostly for you.

Had a great day despite the rain. Bought some much needed shorts a few t-shirts and then went to the loons game. Talked to uncle mike good times. Sat through a like 2 hour rain delay, little boring there. JR and PW ran like little hamsters from right field to first base, i failed to record it. I suck. Did some random heckling. Got the wave started with only 100 people left in the DoubleD.

now off to bed to wake early and go to ma and pa to make sure things don't get to stinky there.
